Our framework for transparency and accountability
The foundation of our governance
The Society of Audiology in Bangladesh (SAB) is constituted as a professional, non-profit organization in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, and operates as a legally recognized professional body representing audiology professionals nationwide.
SAB is governed by its Constitution, Statutes, and Bylaws, which provide the framework for transparent leadership, ethical governance, and effective organizational management. These governing documents are designed to promote the advancement, protection, and rehabilitation of human hearing and balance, encompassing audiological assessment, intervention, habilitation and rehabilitation, and the outcomes of medical, pharmacological, and surgical treatments, while remaining independent of the technical execution of such medical procedures.
The Society serves as a collective voice and advocate for the audiology profession in Bangladesh and for individuals with hearing and balance disorders.
Through its governance structure, SAB ensures accountability, professional integrity, and alignment with international standards of audiological practice and education.
SAB is led by an elected Executive Committee and supported by standing and ad hoc committees responsible for professional development, education, research, ethics, public awareness, and international collaboration.
The Statutes and Bylaws of the Society of Audiology in Bangladesh outline its objectives, membership structure, governance mechanisms, and operational procedures, and are available for viewing and download in PDF format on this website.
